A travel cot sits low on the floor, across the room. The Älskvärd stands on its own birch frame beside your bed, so she sleeps within reach and you can see her through the mesh without getting up.
All four wheels lock: it stays exactly where you put it at night, and follows you to the shade by the balcony door in the afternoon.
It is a bed for the first months. IKEA sets the limit at 9 kg, and it stops being the right bed the day she starts sitting up on her own.
